About The Opportunity
Come join the Emerging Creative (ECXD) Live creative team at Netflix as we invent what live events look and feel like for a global audience. In this role, you will be a key contributor in building out our design language for live event graphics, directly impacting how millions of fans experience our live moments.

About the Role
We are seeking a Visual Design Lead who is both hands-on and directorial: someone who can get into the work and lead it at the same time. This is a role for a world-builder. Someone who can take our brand DNA and shape it into a fully realized environment that feels immersive and unmistakably Netflix. It isn't only about mastering software, it's about setting a direction sharp enough that everyone building around it lands in the same world, whether you're executing the work yourself or directing it on a sketchpad before a single pixel exists. Build design systems sustainable enough to endure past the moment they were made for, and adaptable enough to flex as new sports, formats, and genres join the Netflix Live slate.
This role also carries the push forward: finding where the technology can go further, not just where it sits today. The work is bigger than any single premium event. It's about helping define how Netflix pushes content within our own platform, not just how it looks in the moment someone's watching.
What You’ll Do
Build immersive worlds that expand our brand DNA, whether you make it or direct it.
Build design systems that endure and flex as new sports, formats, and genres join the slate.
Turn a creative vision into fully realized work, from first sketch to final output.
Push where the technology can go further, using new tools to raise the bar.
Finish polished work for delivery while building systems the team can build on next.
Leverage AI advancements and emerging technologies to speed up workflows and improve the visual quality of our renders.
Extrapolate design visions into fully functional 3D assets, ensuring technical excellence from modeling to final render.
About You
You move fluidly between doing the work yourself and directing someone else to get there, and you always know which mode the moment calls for.
You think in systems, not just deliverables. What you build today still has to hold up as new sports, formats, and genres join the slate.
You're pulled toward where the technology is headed, not just where it's comfortable, and you bring the rest of the team with you.
Your voice carries in a room: sharp, refined, and decisive enough that senior leadership trusts the direction you set.
You lead cross-functional partners toward one vision and can write the brief that captures it, all while running more than one production at a time.
The Must-Haves
Proven track record building original creative worlds from a blank page.
Real experience leading cross-functional partners toward one shared vision.
Presentation chops to sell and defend that vision to senior leadership.
Track record managing multiple productions at once without losing your voice.
Comfortable writing creative briefs from scratch, capturing brand essence.
10+ years of experience, with a focus on high-end broadcast or cinematic deliverables.
Direct partnership with cross-functional leadership, extending a world beyond broadcast into out-of-home, social, or experiential space.
Even Better
Familiarity with evolving enterprise design systems at scale.
An eye for how work travels across platforms, formats, and time, long after launch.
A track record leading other creative directors and designers as a program scales.

The voice behind that work carries real influence, so it has to be sharp, refined, and decisive. This is a chance to stand at the front of Netflix Live as it takes shape.
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $310,000.00 - $430,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
