Role Overview
Lead corporate action taxation within Brazil Tax Operations (Custody), ensuring full compliance with local regulations and end-to-end integrity of tax processing across taxable and non-taxable events with accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
Act as the central orchestrator across Operations, Corporate Tax, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
Champion the standardization and optimization of tax calculation, reporting, and compliance processes, reducing operational risk and elevating performance in a complex and evolving regulatory environment
Key Responsibilities
Manage tax calculations related to corporate events ensuring alignment with relevant internal stakeholders.
Orchestrate the respective tax operational processes for corporate action events, ensuring accurate classification and tax treatment
Review and validate event characteristics / Tax component with Product, and Corporate Tax.
Monitor processing performance, ensuring alignment with Technology and resolution of system constraints or defects.
Partner with Technology teams to ensure system capability, performance monitoring, and defect resolution.
Establish and promote a robust risk management and tax compliance culture within the team, implementing preventive and detective controls. Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and regulatory risks across tax processes.
Proactively conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement sustainable solutions.
Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements concerning to the activities in-scope.
Develop and implement effective strategies for managing exceptions and classification discrepancies, coordinating with global teams for resolution and standardization. Manage exception handling and event classification breaks with global teams.
Review and enhance Tax Ops procedures, particularly regarding coordination with Corporate Tax and Asset Services workflows.
Leverage and enhance current platforms to improve accuracy and scalability.
Collaborate with Tech on system enhancements, performance optimization, and new capability delivery.
Ensure data quality and integrity across all upstream and downstream systems.
Contribute to improving client experience through operational excellence and transparency.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Brazil tax operations within the regional/global organization.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience & Expertise
Minimum 5 years of experience
Knowledge of tax regulations/regulatory reporting/custody operations relevant to the business scope
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-risk, and time-sensitive processes.
Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills.
Ability to anticipate vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all seniority levels.
Strong organizational and coordination capabilities with the ability to orchestrate multiple parties.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accountability.
Ability to drive initiatives, influence outcomes, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Languages
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Fluency in English and Portuguese .
- PQO Certification/Qualified Services I and II - desirable but not mandatory.

Senior Operations Analyst – Brazil (Custody), ensuring full compliance with local regulations as well as end-to-end integrity, consistency, and scalability. Lead process standardization and optimization to reduce operational risks and enhance performance within a complex and constantly envolving regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute post-settlement activities for Brazil Custody Operations, including liquidity and funding controls, reporting, and tax collection, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Lead transformation initiatives for Brazil-related processes to enhance operational efficiency and client experience.
- Support day-to-day tax calculation activities related to corporate actions, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders.
- Monitor processing performance, ensuring alignment with Technology and resolution of system constraints or defects.
- Partner with Technology teams to ensure system capability, performance monitoring, and defect resolution.
