You will provide valuation and advisory services related to mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, taxation, private capital investments, and corporate decision-making. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will help clients navigate complex transactions and develop robust valuation solutions supported by quantitative analysis, market data, and sound business judgment.

The Opportunity:
As a Valuations Complex Financial Instruments, Associate unlockyour potential andembracethe chance to drive meaningful outcomes that’ll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to:
Advise clients on complex financial instruments valuation issues and develop valuation models for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial reporting, taxation, corporate decisionsupportand corporate governance.
Provide valuation advisory services for private equity and asset management clients with valuation issues surrounding their private debt portfolios, venture capital portfolios, management incentive plans, contingent considerations, as well as other contractual arrangements and options.
Report and present analyses and conclusions, including written reports.
Research and develop quantitative tools toprovideanalytical insights into business transactions and asset valuations using market and company data.
Review client-provided materials, including term sheets, and independently construct robust valuation models tailored to the engagement context.
Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, ensuringtimelydelivery of high-quality work productsin accordance withagreed-upon timelines.
Conduct in-depth market research on valuation methodologies, industry trends, and technical topics to support analysis and client deliverables.
Develop a strong understanding of relevant accounting standards as they relate to valuation issues and financial reporting requirements.
Embrace and apply new tools and technologies to enhance workflow efficiency, analytical depth, and client service delivery.
Support our broader team’s engagements helping management and boards arrive at informed decisions by providing credible valuation conclusions.
Establish credibility with existing clients bydemonstratingsubject matterexpertiseand knowledge.
Provide support to team members in technical skills, industryknowledge,and soft skills.
What You'll Bring:
Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics, oranother relevant quantitative discipline.
1-3 years of relevant experience in valuations, transaction services, corporate finance, audit, financial reporting, investment banking, asset management, consulting, ora relatedfield.
Strong understanding of financial instrument valuation, including derivatives and fixed income securities.
Experience building and reviewing financial models and performing quantitative analyses.
Strong knowledge of capital markets, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis.
Professionaldesignationsuch asCFA, FRM,CAIA(completed or in progress)consideredan asset.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

The salary range for this position is $42,700 - $71,300. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
