A career in our Indirect Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.Our team helps our clients optimise cash flow and reduce risk by managing challenges related to indirect taxes. You’ll support our clients with all aspects of indirect taxation related to global, regional and domestic projects as well as comprehensive restructuring and reporting value added tax projects.
Responsibilities
As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and review indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, excise tax, and other transaction-based taxes.
- Assistin the preparation of tax reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Conduct research on indirect tax laws and regulations to support tax planning strategies.
- Analyze financial data and transactions toidentifyindirect tax implications and opportunities.
- Support clients in responding to indirect tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Stay current with changes in indirect tax laws and regulations and communicate their implications to clients and team members.
- Assistin the development and implementation of tax-efficient strategies for indirect tax compliance.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate indirect tax analyses and recommendations to clients.
- Contribute to indirect tax planning projects and provide recommendations for tax efficiency.
- Work effectively with colleagues to ensuretimelyandaccuratecompletion of indirect tax engagements.

Requirements
Degree in any discipline and/or a professional accounting qualification such as the ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ / CPA Australia
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Possess good leadership skills and demonstrate resilience
Able to demonstrate ability to interact with people of different backgrounds and build meaningful relationships
Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and business acumen
