Description
We are seeking a motivated QuantitativeAnalyst/Developer Intern/Co-Opto join the Advanced Data Analytics and Insights(ADAI)team and contribute to the development of the Alternative InvestmentPortfolio StrategyRisk Analytics &Managementprogram.The program isinstrumental inmonitoringtheInvestmentRisk profiles of Fidelity's alternative investmentand strategyfunds.
TheInternwill use technologies such as Python– Multithreading, large scale simulation engines, derivatives pricing, SQL(Oracle/Snowflake), andStreamlit/Dash frameworksfor developingdata processes, risk calculationpipelinesand reporting applications.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Currently pursuingBS/MS/PhDin quantitative field such as Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics etc.
Technical abilities including highly proficient with: Python, Python frameworks – pandas, polars, embedded SQL, SQL(Snowflake, Oracle)
Strong knowledgeandunderstanding of portfolio management, investment risk analysis, and the financial industry.
Basic understandingof probability and statistics (e.g., data science, machine learning, time-series analysis, pattern recognition, NLP)
Expertisein navigating large data sets (structured and unstructured) and discovering, cleaning, analyzing, and preparing data for ingestion
Strong analytical and problem-solving background
Effective verbal and written communication skills

The CRBO Advanced Process Solutions(APS)and Innovation team is on the frontier of blending emerging technology and advanced data analytics to enable Asset Management to work smarter, faster, and moreproactive. Much of our work is truly groundbreaking andprovidea major contribution to Asset Management’s business operations and scale and efficiencyobjectives.
In this role, you will work directly with theDirectorof Advanced Data Analytics & Insights(ADAI)to supportand implement processes fora team of Investment Risk Managers who partner with the Chief Investment Officers and investment professionals(Portfolio Managers and Risk Managers)to define relevant risk metrics and produce reportingand analyticsthat would provide assurance that investment managers are taking appropriate types and levels of risk for each client mandate and that those risks are measured accurately, monitored continuously, and taken purposefully.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
