Broker, Credit, Bond & Political Risk

Marsh Re is seeking an experienced Broker to join our market-leading Credit, Bond & Political Risk Team in London, UK.

In this role, you’ll support the delivery and growth of a specialist portfolio within the credit and political risk markets. Working closely with senior brokers and colleagues across analytics, operations, and claims, you’ll help deliver high-quality client service, contribute to treaty placements and renewals, and continue building your technical expertise and market relationships in a fast-moving, high-performing team.

We will count on you to:

• Support the day-to-day management of client relationships, including preparing for meetings, responding to queries, and coordinating actions across internal teams.

• Assist with risk analysis and placement strategy across credit, bond, political risk, and related financial lines.

• Contribute to the end-to-end treaty renewal and new business placement process, including preparing submissions, approaching markets, tracking quotes, and supporting negotiations.

• Help produce and review placement documentation (e.g., slips, wordings input, contract documentation), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (analytics, operations, compliance, claims) to ensure placements are structured, delivered, and administered smoothly.

• Support business development activity through market research, pipeline support, and contributions to RFPs/tenders and client materials.

• Monitor market conditions and share insights to support client discussions and placement outcomes.

• Uphold high standards of professionalism, ethics, and operational excellence, leveraging MMC systems and tools to drive efficiency and collaboration.

What you need to have:

• Demonstrable experience in insurance/reinsurance broking (or underwriting), ideally with exposure to credit, surety, bond and/or political risk.

• Working knowledge of treaty reinsurance processes, including renewals, placements, and supporting documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Clear communication and relationship-building skills with clients, reinsurers, and internal teams.

• Sound judgment and discretion when working with confidential information.

• A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to take ownership of defined workstreams.

• CII qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII) are preferred.
