THE ROLE

At the conclusion of this position, co-ops will have increased their knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, employee engagement, and a firm understanding of how compliance learning works at an asset manager.
MFS co-op positions are a 6-month commitment, working Monday – Friday (beginning on Wednesday, January 13th through Friday June 25th, 2027), and work between 35-40 hours. Our program is designed for undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in a co-op program through their college or university and can meet our requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
Following established procedures, the co-op in this position will assist the Reporting Compliance group with ensuring the quality and integrity of reporting and data.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The job will be focused on supporting key functions across compliance tasks including reporting, automation, pre- and post-trade analysis, responding to ad hoc requests for information and research within the Compliance Reporting Group.
Review and research differences between multiple compliance monitoring systems.
Complete assignments such client reporting deliverables, work with various internal partners for optimizing process efficiencies and automation, documentation, including review of prior day changes made to compliance systems.
Work on multiple trade and internal systems to refer, download and post documents.
Additional duties to be performed as requested.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Candidates studying or with exposure in finance, quantitative analysis, statistics, data science, or related fields are well-suited for this role.
The ideal candidate should be adept at critical thinking, possess sharp problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
Strong critical thinking abilities to approach complex compliance challenges.
Strong knowledge of computer-based programs such as MS Office.
Some exposure to coding languages, with an ability to automate workflows and generate insights.
Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00
