Department Overview
Raymond James Compliance ensures adherence to all rules, regulations, policies and standards that govern the firm and the securities industry. Positions in Compliance cover a wide range of roles focused on promoting adherence to regulatory requirements and firm policies. Responsibilities may include providing compliance guidance and education, responding to client complaints and regulatory inquiries, supporting policy development and implementation, monitoring compliance risks and controls, assisting with privacy and information protection initiatives, and advising business units on regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.

To be eligible for the Summer 2027 Internship Program, candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Data Analytics, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028. Most positions are based in St. Petersburg with other available locations depending on company need.
Candidates who successfully complete the internship program have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role at Raymond James after graduation.
Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides support and guidance for compliance efforts within an assigned business entity compliance function.
- Assists in overseeing compliance program(s) for an assigned business entity to ensure compliance processes and procedures are integrated and aligned with business processes.
- Assists in researching compliance issues and regulatory requirements.
- Assists in making rule-based and analytical decisions while evaluating regulatory and business risks.
- Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines.
- Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- A graduation date of May 2028 or December 2027.
- Demonstrated interest in compliance, risk management, financial services, or regulatory affairs.
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
- Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).
