Tax Associate 2, Financial Services - Private Equity Fund

Responsibilities:
- Preparing complex Private Equity, Hedge Fund and/or FoF partnership tax returns
- Detailed review and analysis of Tax returns
- Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues
- Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members
- Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
- Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field
- 1+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm; or equivalent in industry or with a law firm
- Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, CA, EA
- Experience preparing and reviewing returns
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation or MBA preferred
- Active CPA, EA, CA
- Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and review within the Asset Management industry
