The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The Impact you will have in this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with 4–8 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, automation solutions, and data processing frameworks that support critical business and regulatory operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, API integrations, database technologies, and workflow automation. This role requires close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, services, and automation frameworks.
- Build scalable data processing and integration solutions using Python.
- Develop and consume REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database interactions.
- Automate manual business processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop reusable components, utilities, and shared frameworks for enterprise use.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and software development best practices.
- Participate in application support, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and defect resolution.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions. - Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge repositories.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities across development and production environments.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- 4–8 years of experience in Python development.
- Strong experience with Python frameworks and libraries
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
- Strong knowledge of automation, scripting, and data processing.
- Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of software design principles and coding best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms.
- Exposure to ETL/data engineering solutions.
- Experience working with cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory, risk, compliance, or financial services domains.
