Fund Financing specialist Associate

Overview

Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg is a key component of the Corporate & Investment Banking division of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group headquarters in Milan.
Its Fund Financing desk structures, books and manages credit facilities to the largest investment funds active in the Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Credit industries.
Within the current team, you will be involved in managing the growing Fund Financing portfolio within ISPBL, in line with the strategy of the Group. 
The key areas for the role are Structured finance to Alternatives Investment Funds (AIFs); Credit process; Legal analysis.

What you’ll be doing

The candidate will be involved in most of the aspects of the typical Capital Call Facilities / Sublines, GP and NAV facilities arranged by the Fund Financing desk:

•  Act as the 1st line of defence for the bank on the Credit & Legal matters:
  •    Draft the credit applications for new transactions, amendments, waivers, renewals, and others; 
  •    Review & opine on the legal documentation.
•  Coordinate with the other relevant departments of the bank such as Credit, Legal, Risk Management and Audit;
• Coordinate with the external parties such as lawyers, banks and clients;
• Monitor the loan book and take proactive measures to ensure the quality of the portfolio;
• Monitor the refinancing risk and ensure its compliance with the risk/return objectives of the bank;
• Follow up the day-to-day operations;
• Prepare the presentations and the other materials for the clients and the internal stakeholders, including the management reports.

Who we are looking for

If you want to turn your passion into a career and you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you: 

• Experience in structured finance, such as Fund Financing, Project, Leverage or Acquisition Financing; other experiences in the credit or the legal areas to corporates, financial institutions or investment funds would be highly regarded;
• Experience from banking, asset management, insurance, fund or consulting industries;
• Master degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Law or equivalent;
