What You'll Do
As an Analyst - BCG Vantage within BCG's Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing industry or functional expertise and insights, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory with a focus on Brazil. In particular you will support on Due Diligence work including market modules, competitive landscape, amongst others.
You will work on commercialization efforts for Principal Investors & Private Equity Practice Area especially in Brazil, with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. The role occasionally requires travel to designated target locations.
As an Analyst you will assist the PIPE Practice Area in Brazil with understanding PE market dynamics (mapping of transactions and potential deals, leveraging associations reports and databases) and creating custom GPTs for internal processes.
BCG's Principal Investors and Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area works with the world’s largest investment firms, serving eight client segments: Private Equity, Tech Capital, Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), Pension Plan, Family Office, Hedge Funds, Real Estate & Infrastructure, and Venture Capital. In leveraging our firm's sector as well as functional experts across disciplines such as digital, technology, and operations we are adding value at every step of the investment life cycle - from transaction services to transformative profit improvement programs for portfolio companies to successful exit support.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Researching, distilling insights, mapping emerging trends in the Principal Investor & Private Equity and Sector when contributing to building and deploying a product/tool/data, taking different client contexts into account
- Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
- Communicating with senior stakeholders, being credible and proactive
- Framing, structuring, and sharing intellectual property, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
- Working creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment
- Flexibility and bring a curious and creative mindset, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
- Interacting with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment
What You'll Bring
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience with research, due diligence analysis and investments (incl. experience in Private Equity, Tech Capital, Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), Pension Plan, Family Office, Hedge Funds, Real Estate & Infrastructure, and Venture Capital) topics preferred.
- Experience and proficiency in financial modeling/market sizing/due diligence are essential
- Experience with Big 4 advisory firms, in-house Mergers & Acquisitions teams, or Private Equity and Venture Capital firms is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Strong quantitative skills
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
