We add value by pitching, arranging, structuring and executing a variety of debt transactions for Private Equity clients, including, but not limited to, Subscription Facilities, Leveraged Buyouts and acquisition financings and by serving our customers’ general banking needs. The unit carries full responsibility for its balance sheet commitments as well as for regulatory responsibilities pertaining to its customer base. In close collaboration with other units in the bank, we serve our portfolio of customers with a range of daily banking services from Nordea’s entire product range.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Leveraged Finance Customer & Portfolio Management team. We form part of the broader Leveraged Finance unit and add value by carrying financial, credit and compliance/KYC responsibility for the entire portfolio of Private Equity-owned customers financed by Nordea. As core team-members of the respective Leveraged Finance country teams, we oversee and maintain commercial banking relationships with corporate clients, bridge- and facilitate contacts with specialist financing professionals in relevant Product Units, contribute to deal origination and execution, take lead in credit workstreams and carry overall responsibility for customer- and portfolio profitability.

You’ll join a creative and closely-knit team whose success depends on dedication to our clients and on mutual trust between team members. The role is based in Stockholm, where you would be working closely together with our two Client Executives.

The right candidate will have strong general banking skills and will as part of the broader Leveraged Finance team have significant opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of the Private Equity value chain.

Your experience and background includes:   

• An academic background (Bachelor or similar), with fluent communication skills in English and Swedish combined with skills in basic tools such as Excel and Power Point are required;
• A minimum of 3 years of total banking experience and experience from similar roles in Nordea or another financial institution, i.e. experience from performing CRU duties in the corporate segment, experience from a relevant PRU (Cash Management, Markets, DCM, Advisory or similar) or alternatively experience from corporate credit analysis. Candidates from adjacent industries, e.g. accounting Big 4, management consulting and similar will also be considered.
