Senior Planning Engineer - Rails

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planning Engineer - Rails to join our PMC team on a major Rail programme. In this role you will lead planning, scheduling, progress control, reporting and time-related claims/EOT support.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Review contractor baseline and progress schedules and support the Engineer’s consent in line with contract requirements and Parsons practices.

• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across packages and interfaces; validate resource/schedule feasibility.

• Identify potential schedule risks/conflicts and support updates to the project risk register.

• Analyze progress updates to identify delays/slippage, critical events and recommend mitigation/recovery actions.

• Perform “what-if” analysis and schedule impact assessments for changes/variations.

• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, programme analysis, dashboards and presentations against milestones.

• Support claims/EOT assessments using delay analysis methods (e.g., time impact and window analysis), including concurrent delay analysis.

• Lead planning coordination meetings, maintain trackers/logs and ensure contemporaneous records are kept.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to planning team members as required.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management from a recognized institution.

• Minimum 12 years post-graduate experience including 5+ years of rail experience.

• Previous experience in Planning & Scheduling, Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis, and Extension of Time Claims

• Extensive experience with the design processes and construction methodologies in Rail Projects

• Experience in the application of Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis and TILOS.

• Strong understanding of rail design/construction methodologies and industry best practices/regulations.
