As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will play a key role within our Finance organization. You will ensure the quality and integrity of our financial reporting, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Role and responsibilities

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will:

• ensure the preparation and quality assurance of financial reporting as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory, tax, and corporate requirements.

• take ownership of compliance with accounting standards and serve as a subject matter expert for accounting and reporting matters.

• act as the primary interface for external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders in connection with audits, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements.

• monitor accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements while driving their continuous enhancement.

• support financial transparency through analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and meaningful management reporting.

• serve as a key user for financial systems and reporting tools, ensuring their stability and continuous development.

• identify optimization opportunities and implement initiatives related to digitalization, process improvements, and efficiency enhancements within Finance.

Your qualifications

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification.

• You have several years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation within a mid-sized or international business environment.

• You possess strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and ideally US GAAP, as well as a solid understanding of tax and regulatory requirements.

• You have experience collaborating with external auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.

• You have hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO and standard Microsoft Office applications.

• You communicate confidently in English and have good written and spoken German skills.

Deine Aufgaben

Als Senior Bilanzbuchhalter:in wirst du:

• die Erstellung und Qualitätssicherung der Finanzberichterstattung sowie der Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüsse gemäß gesetzlichen, steuerlichen und konzerninternen Vorgaben sicherstellen.

• die Einhaltung von Rechnungslegungsstandards verantworten und als fachliche Ansprechperson für Bilanzierungs- und Reporting-Themen fungieren.

• als zentrale Schnittstelle zu Wirtschaftsprüfer:innen, Steuerberater:innen, Behörden sowie internen Stakeholdern bei Audits, Jahresabschlussprüfungen und regulatorischen Fragestellungen agieren.

• Rechnungslegungsprozesse, interne Kontrollen und Compliance-Anforderungen überwachen sowie deren kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung sicherstellen.

• die finanzielle Transparenz durch Analysen, Bilanzabstimmungen, Cashflow-Prognosen und aussagekräftige Management-Reportings unterstützen.

• als Key User die Stabilität und Weiterentwicklung von Finanzsystemen und Reporting-Lösungen vorantreiben.

• Optimierungspotenziale identifizieren und Initiativen zur Digitalisierung, Prozessverbesserung und Effizienzsteigerung im Finanzbereich umsetzen.

Deine Qualifikation

• Du verfügst über ein abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Betriebswirtschaft, Finanzen, Rechnungswesen oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation.

• Du bringst mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Rechnungswesen, der Bilanzierung und Finanzberichterstattung in einem mittelständischen oder internationalen Unternehmensumfeld mit.

• Du verfügst über fundierte Kenntnisse in HGB, IFRS und idealerweise US GAAP sowie über ein gutes Verständnis steuerlicher und regulatorischer Anforderungen.

• Du hast Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit Wirtschaftsprüfer:innen, Steuerberater:innen und weiteren externen Stakeholdern.

• Du besitzt praktische Erfahrung im Umgang mit SAP FI/CO sowie den gängigen Microsoft-Office-Anwendungen.

• Du kommunizierst souverän in Englisch und verfügst über gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
