AstheSoftware DevelopmentManager, you will lead theEDO Content Deliveryteam.This is a “Player / Coach” role, where you will both lead and contribute hands on to the overall success of the team.
You willcollaborateclosely withpeers inEDO, ITGand Globalbusiness partners to enable, transform andoptimizethe delivery ofour software applicationsanddatasolutions,thisincludes applications such as ourproductreferencedata managementapplication,ourclient-facing dataapplication used formarketing/publishing data automationtodriveinvestment strategies to the marketthatdrive strategic growthforCapital Group.
You willbe responsible forleading aglobalteamofhigh-performingassociates and contractors. Your role includesresourceplanning andprioritization, associate talentdevelopmentand scalable vendormanagement.As aplayer/coach youwillallocatework,manageperformanceanddevelop the team tobuild innovative, scalable, and resilient software and data solutions that empower our global Operating Groups.Your role will ensure that the applications weproductmeet and exceed the expectations of our business users, from the design ofan intuitivefront-end, the data integration and schema development ofa robustback end andset of developmentframeworks.You will foster a culture where associates feel valued, engaged, and able to connect their contributions to Capital Group’s broader strategic priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage partnerships with business leaders, stakeholders, and IT to develop and promoteourcontentdelivery datasolutions.
Translates stakeholderneedsinto technical solutions.
Amanageryouwillimpactthe product, architecture, softwaredesignandengineering.With a focus on intuitive front-end creation, robust backendframeworksand strong data design
Lead,mentoranddeveloptheteamusingindustry best practicesinengineering,dataand AI.
Set engineering standards, contribute directly to complexcode andproblem solving.
You are a manager and will guide theteamofindividual contributorsbysetting expectations andmonitoringtheir progress
Manage a globally dispersed team (primarily with associates in Southern California and contractors in X, Y, Z)and contributeinput to scale a global organizationthrough resourcing/location strategy.

Experience with AI/ML/Gen AI/LLM ispreferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
