Alternative Investment Governance Lead - Asia- Asset Management

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Alternative Investment Governance Lead - Asia- Asset Management.
In this role you will:
- Provide senior oversight of the investment governance framework across the Alternatives Asia platform, ensuring that investment activities are supported by robust, proportionate and scalable governance.
- Sit at the intersection of investment, risk, operations and senior management, providing challenge and oversight across the investment lifecycle and ensuring that governance evolves appropriately as the platform, strategies and client base grow.
- Identify, challenge, and escalate governance, process, and control gaps across APAC investment capabilities, partnering closely with Investment teams, Risk, and Compliance to ensure alignment with regulatory and business expectations.
- Track investment decisions, actions, and outcomes to improve transparency, accountability, and decision-making quality, contributing to the growth of the Alternatives business.
- Design, embed, and continuously improve the APAC investment governance model, enhancing underwriting discipline and formalising investment process improvements.
- Support Real Assets portfolio monitoring, and responsible investment tasks, including change initiatives, narrative development for internal/external materials, and support for IT/quantitative tools and knowledge management.
- Combine strong investment understanding with governance, risk and stakeholder-management expertise, and will be comfortable operating with senior investment professionals and executive stakeholders.
To be successful you will need:
- Extensive experience in investment governance, investment process oversight, change / controls roles within Alternatives, Real Assets, or broader asset management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, challenge, and escalate investment governance, process, and control gaps, and to drive remediation to closure in partnership with first- and second-line stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across investment teams, Risk, Compliance, Data and Technology.
- Strong analytical capability, including ability to track investment decisions/actions/outcomes and support portfolio analysis and monitoring frameworks.
- Experience delivering change initiatives (process, systems, technology), including documentation, testing, training and BAU handover.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop clear narratives for internal/external materials and governance forums.
- Tertiary educated with degree(s) in a relevant discipline.
