Job Description:
DXC Technology is looking for a Data Scientist Consultant to support AI and Generative AI projects, contributing to practicalsolutionsand improving business processes through ML models,NLPand intelligent automation, within the Data & AI team based in Rome.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and implementation of AI solutions, including machine learning models, NLP, and computer vision applications.
Collaborate with senior team members to understand client requirements and translate them into practical AI solutions.
Support the direct relationship with clients/stakeholders for requirements gathering and solution validation.
Supportpre-salesactivities, including preparing technical materials and contributing to client presentations.
Stayup to dateon AI trends andemergingtechnologies, applying knowledge to support solution development.
Contribute tomaintainingbest practices and methodologies within the AI & Data Science team.
Take part in AI solution projects, gaining hands-on experience in real client environments and progressively growing in autonomy.
Requirements
Proven experience in Gen AI projects.
Ability to translate business requirements into practical AI solutions, including design and implementation.
Deepexpertisein core Generative AI technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt Engineering, Observability, and AI Guardrails.
Extensive experience with enterprise-grade GenAI development frameworks and platforms, includingLangChain,LangGraph,LiteLLM, andLangfuse.
Proven experience in addressing AI governance, GDPR, and EU AI Act compliance requirements throughout the AI solution lifecycle.
Good knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries (Python, TensorFlow,PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.)
Strongproficiencyin AI-powered software development and code generation tools.
Extensive experience with enterprise software delivery practices and platforms, including source code management, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communicationskills andstrongability to work in a collaborative team.
Growing autonomy in managing assigned tasks and deliverables.
Ability to organize project activities byidentifyingpriorities and ensuring deadlines are met

The position offers a gross annual base salary startingfrom €38,000.
Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (CBA: ContrattoCollettivoNazionale di Lavoro perl’industriametalmeccanicae dellainstallazionediimpianti) and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including responsability, experience and skills.
