What you’ll do:

We are seeking a CSP Presales Architect to drive technical enablement and solution design with our strategic partner ecosystem. You will work directly with partners to architect and implement complex solutions, guide them through deployments, and ensure successful customer outcomes across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with exceptional partner relationship management skills to accelerate joint go-to-market initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical bridge between HPE and our partners, driving mutual business success through innovative solution delivery and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Solutions Architect partners with the local sales and pre-sales technical teams to help deliver in-depth technical presentations, work through complex Proofs of Concept, and kickoff initial software implementations. Solutions Architect is also the lynchpin between the field (customers) and development. He/she plays a vital role in taking customer and prospect feedback and communicating it back to the Product and Development teams to help drive the product roadmap.

• Partner with the local sales and pre-sales technical teams to drive the technical sales process.

• Have a strong understanding of the IT Operations market and the competitive landscape.

• Have a strong understanding of the cloud native market.

• Be able to manage and sell to large, complex technical environments by becoming the trusted advisor for customers (strong technical and interpersonal skills).

• Have strong written and oral communication skills.

• Be able to deliver compelling demonstrations and presentations.

• Think outside of the box, be creative, and always strive to find new ways to solve customer challenges.

• Understand complex customer environments and be able to deliver Proofs of Concept and initial software implementations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Understand technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, and other container technologies.

• 10+ years of Solution Architecture experience.

• Ability to design implementation architectures.

• Provide both technical and business value to CSP/MSP partners, and their customers, through enablement, whiteboard discussions, demonstrations, proof of value, as well as post-sales support as needed for customer success.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, and network security.

• Experience with SDN, network virtualization, overlays/underlays, VXLAN/EVPN, and network automation.

• Working knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure.

• Have some level of programming skills (Java, Python, PHP, JSON, NodeJS, JavaScript, etc.).

• Understanding network security, segmentation, Zero Trust, and observability.

• Ability to troubleshoot and explain complex technical architectures.

• Strong presentation, whiteboarding, demonstration, and customer-facing communication skills.

• Ability to lead technical POCs and work effectively across sales and technical teams.

• Strong consultative selling and business-value communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience with Kubernetes/container networking.

• Experience with AIOps, AI-driven network operations, or agentic automation.

• Familiarity with MCP and AI/LLM-based infrastructure management.

• Enterprise pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions architecture experience.

• IT Operations Management (ITOM) Experience is preferred.

• Relevant networking or cloud certifications.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Intermediate-level written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and storytelling, and ability to communicate in English and applicable local languages (both in-person and virtual) as needed to perform job requirements.

• Demonstrates intermediate discussion and persuasion skills, competitive differentiation (vs. VMware, etc.), and the ability to handle objections. Applies consultative selling tactics to align solutions with customer business outcomes.

• Intermediate-level business and financial acumen—sales cycle, pipeline growth, reporting, ability to influence, business strategy linkage—with an awareness of functional responsibilities of various customer business roles.

• Intermediate consultative and value selling skills, including presenting, white-boarding, objection handling, and closing skills to proactively help customers make business decisions.

• Adept at prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and performing due diligence on customer solutions. Skilled in problem-solving with a methodical, analytical approach.

• Ability to deliver live demonstrations or walk-throughs of products, solutions, tools or services to customers, partners, and other stakeholders.

• Intermediate-level knowledge of partner offerings, channel programs, and the company’s go-to-market approach. Able to collaborate with resellers to drive deals and leverage partner capabilities effectively.

• Understanding VLANs, basic routing, and virtual switching concepts.
