Global Corporate Banking - Business Management / Business Analytics - Associate

In this highly visible Hong Kong-based role, you’ll partner with senior business managers and cross-functional teams to improve decision-making, strengthen governance, and drive productivity at scale.

As an Associate in Global Corporate Banking Business Management, you will help drive strategic execution, business performance management, governance, and transformation across the APAC franchise. Partnering with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will provide timely, decision-ready insights that supports resource allocation, business performance, and strategic decision-making.This is a highly dynamic role requiring an adaptable individual who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and operating across a broad range of business management activities. The role also has a strong transformation focus, leveraging data, automation, AI, and process improvement to enhance decision-making, simplify processes, and improve business outcomes.

Job responsibilities

• Partner with senior APAC business managers to execute strategic initiatives, projects, and business priorities

• Coordinate closely with segment, country, product, Finance, Strategy, and central teams to support business objectives and franchise priorities

• Contribute to regional and global business management initiatives, promoting alignment, best-practice sharing, and cross-regional connectivity

• Deliver timely, actionable, and decision-ready insights to senior management, proactively highlighting emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers across the business

• Analyze business performance and synthesize complex information into clear recommendations that support strategic priorities and management decisions

• Support business reviews, resource allocation discussions, forecasting processes, and strategic planning through insightful analysis and decision support

• Act as a catalyst for change by identifying opportunities to improve processes, challenge existing ways of working, and enhance business effectiveness

• Support and advance the business risk and control agenda through strong governance routines and disciplined execution

• Design and develop automated management information solutions and interactive dashboards that enhance insight generation and management transparency

• Leverage AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), advanced analytics, and automation to improve workflow efficiency, forecasting, decision support, and management information quality

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Management, Finance, Strategy, Operations, Analytics, or related disciplines

• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable business insight

• Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to connect business performance, strategic priorities, and management actions

• Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex topics into clear and compelling messages for senior audiences

• Proficiency in Python and experience with analytics, automation, and visualization solutions

• Familiarity with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) and the ability to apply them to business management, workflow optimization, and decision support

• Highly adaptable, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating across strategy, analytics, governance, finance, execution, and transformation activities

• Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail and a willingness to challenge the status quo

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, or the broader financial services industry

• Experience leading or supporting business transformation, automation, or strategic change initiatives

• Demonstrated experience building analytical, automation, or management information solutions using modern data and technology tools

• Training or certification in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines

• Change-oriented and solution-focused mindset, with a passion for innovation, automation, and leveraging technology to improve business outcomes
