About the Role
As a Client Services Lead, you will own Mercor's relationships with healthcare and life sciences clients — providers, payers, pharma, and health-tech companies — from first contact through long-term account growth. You'll sit at the intersection of client management, data strategy, contracting, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring healthcare clients get maximum value from Mercor's expert network and data products, while navigating the sector's unique regulatory and clinical requirements.

This role is highly autonomous and intentionally scrappy: you'll be trusted to build the healthcare client function largely from scratch.

What You'll Do

Build the Healthcare Client Function (0 → 1)

• Identify, engage, and onboard healthcare and life sciences clients and partners

• Test and iterate on service models tailored to healthcare-sector needs (clinical accuracy, regulatory constraints, data sensitivity)

• Create early playbooks for how Mercor serves healthcare clients

Account Ownership & Growth

• Lead client conversations end-to-end, from scoping through renewal and expansion

• Qualify client needs, define mutual value, and drive engagements to close

• Structure commercial terms suited to healthcare organizations' procurement and compliance norms

Contracting & Negotiation

• Own negotiations on pricing, scope, timelines, and obligations with healthcare clients

• Work closely with Legal and Finance to move quickly without sacrificing rigor

• Navigate data rights, privacy, and compliance requirements specific to healthcare (e.g., HIPAA)

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for healthcare-sector clients and senior stakeholders

• Manage complex, multi-party relationships (clinical, compliance, technical teams) with clarity and credibility

• Align internal teams (Product, Research, Ops, Legal) around healthcare client priorities

Operate Scrappily, Then Systematize

• Start hands-on: build client lists, run outreach, draft docs, close deals yourself

• Identify patterns and convert them into repeatable processes as the healthcare book of business scales

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 5+ years in Client Service, Account Management, or Commercial roles, serving healthcare or life sciences clients

• Proven experience negotiating and closing contracts

• Track record managing high-stakes external stakeholders, including clinical and compliance functions

• Direct experience working with data products

• Scrappy, resourceful, comfortable with unglamorous work early on

• Strong commercial instincts and negotiation skills

• Clear, concise communicator with executive presence

• Able to operate independently while partnering closely with internal teams

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, health-tech, or payer/provider organizations

• Exposure to data-driven products, AI, or technical/clinical stakeholders

• Background working cross-functionally with legal and finance teams

• Familiarity with healthcare compliance and data rights (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST)
