Electronic Repair Intern - Summer 2027

Electrical Engineering candidate willing to be a part of a dynamic electronic repair facility supporting manufacturing equipment. The purpose of the job is to repair, upgrade, modify, or verify sub components of a wide variety of complex automatic/logic controlled electronic or electro-mechanical equipment at a component level.
Important duties include:
- Using advanced diagnostic techniques;
- improvising circuits or equipment to special needs;
- working independently on assigned projects;
- performing complex analysis of major malfunctions to the component level;
- performing calibrations traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.
Important skills and abilities include:
- setting up, operating and adjusting complex instrumentation;
- knowledge of analog, digital, and RF electronics;
- moderate circuit design abilities;
- high level of mechanical ability (i.e. considerable knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and fluidics, and safe working procedures)
Qualifications:
- In the process of completing BS Electrical Engineering Degree with a focus on electronics
- Capable of working on projects without supervision
- Fundamental knowledge of AC and DC electronics
- Root cause problem solving skills
- Collaborative thinker
- Organized - project management
- Ability to effectively communicate findings, train others, and write documents
