Department Overview

The (Elgin Experience Center for Solutions Integration), is host to hundreds of Customers each year. The EEC Si is where customer needs and technological solutions come together thru the Systems Staging process. The EEC Si Engineering Team works with field teams to develop the fine design details of a Radio Communications System and to support the fundamental objective of Total Customer Satisfaction.

Job Description

Preferred Qualifications:

• IT Systems Engineering experience.

• Aggressive problem-solving skills and the ability to get things done in a multi-organizational environment.

• Strong LAN/WAN, TCP/IP networking skills.

• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments (including Active Directory) .

• Virtualization (Vmware/KVM) high-level working and design knowledge

• Knowledge of two-way radio systems, wireless data systems.

• Dimetra/Astro/Mototrbo Motorola Communication systems experience.

• LTE, P25, Tetra knowledge is helpful

• Effective communications, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Drive to automate things.

• Basic Unix/shell/Python scripting skills are a plus

• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Target Base Salary Range: $65,900  - $85,000
