Job Description:
The Sr Cloud Engineer I is a motivated coder/hacker/engineer who strives to solve problems with elegant and maintainable automated solutions. To be successful in the role, the person must have a deep passion for automation and troubleshooting, and have a thorough understanding of how to bring this approach to migrating and creating workloads in Azure as well as our private cloud platform
Years of Experience
7+ years of combined DevOps, Infrastructure Delivery and Azure Technologies
Special Requirements
Weekend break/fix or maintenance work may occasionally be required
Responsibilities
Collaborate across the Global Technology organization to design and implement our application stack in Azure
Provide expertise on migrating existing workloads using modern technologies like containerization and Kubernetes
Create IaC CI/CD pipelines for our public and private cloud platforms using vendor agnostic tools like TerraForm and Ansible
Work with the DevOps and Architecture teams to create a re-usable model for cloud deployments
Provide expertise and recommendations to all teams in technology when it comes to cloud technology
Create and maintain quality documentation
Candidate Requirements
Expert level knowledge of Azure technology and experience supporting cloud migrations
Advanced understanding of Microsoft SQL servers and queries
Experience with deploying .NET/C# and python containers in cloud environments
Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes
Experience with our existing core technologies:
Splunk, GitLab, Octopus, Kubernetes, Docker, Nagios, AppDynamics, Ansible, RabbitMQ, Redis
15 Years of combined experience in DevOps and Cloud
Experience using and supporting CI/CD systems
Good understanding of object-oriented development
Experience in working with Microservice architectures and RESTful APIs.
