SS&C Algorithmics is seeking a highly motivated technical consultant to provide clients with a comprehensive range of skills to support the implementation of end-to-end financial risk solutions, primarily in support of risk management and regulatory requirements.

This role will involve the provision of support and consultancy to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice, guidance, and quality of service. A project-based role delivering product specialist knowledge in system implementations and client support focusing, but not wholly, on the SS&C Algorithmics Enterprise suite of Risk Management solutions.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Provide consultancy and product support internally and to clients based on an understanding of the SS&C Algorithmics product suite and implementation requirements.
• Define and scope configuration, interfacing and enhancement work with project managers, senior technical engineers, and financial engineers.
• Undertake setup and configuration of the SS&C Algorithmics and third-party products (database, middleware, reporting solutions) troubleshooting, testing (functional and volume) for original installation and system upgrades.
• Install products and customized components on client sites, or remotely, and assist with acceptance tests and provide first line support following implementation.
• Develop customized solutions and modules in a range of development tools, typically, Python, Perl and shell scripting.
• Design and implement interfaces between client’s data and SS&C Algorithmics products. This will largely involve the SS&C
• Algorithmics data mapping tool and definition of data required from the client’s systems.
• Where appropriate deliver training via formal training courses and workshop sessions internally and to clients.
• Deliver product overviews and lead discussions in client pre-sales, develop pilot and proof of concept solutions.
• Conduct research, data collection and analysis to prepare, present and deliver recommendations and solutions to clients.
• Use a range of methodologies, assets and work products to produce deliverables.
• Create and use intellectual capital to solve diverse, business issues in innovative ways.
• Understand technology to offer clients' recommendations and solutions that meet their business and IT needs as appropriate.
• Participate in the delivery and implementation of solutions for clients.
• Work with various SS&C stakeholders including product owners, development teams and testers to deliver robust solutions.
• To help troubleshoot errors, performance issues, and license problems encountered by customers during implementation.
• Given this is a senior role, in addition to implementation work, the senior integration engineer will be expected to support potential pre-sales activities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor for prospective clients during the pre-sales phase.
• Participate in client discovery sessions to gather high-level requirements and understand business challenges.
• Contribute to the development of proposals, RFP responses, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Present proposed solutions and delivery approaches in a clear and compelling way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with client expectations and organizational capabilities.
• Identify potential risks, delivery challenges, or scope limitations early in the sales process.
• Support strategic account planning and help identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.

What You Will Bring:

• Degree (preferably numerate/technical) or equivalent
• 5+ years of working experience
• Native in Japanese language and Fluent in English
• Good hands-on use of Linux
• Strong scripting experience with shell
• Strong programming experience with at least one language (Python, Perl, Java or similar)
• Familiarity with database essentials (SQL, installation, sizing, performance) Experienced DBA skills not essential, but familiarity with using one current RDBMS is preferred.
• Ability to address and use initiative to deliver solutions to technical and business problems.
• Ability and desire to adapt, learn and explore new technologies.
• High degree of initiative and learning to work with complex software products with minimal supervision.
• Capacity to estimate, manage own work, and keep within plan.
• Strong communication skills and presentation skills in client-facing environments.
• High level of professionalism, confidence, and strategic thinking in pre-sales interactions.
• Proven experience working on proposals, pitches, or strategic solutioning for clients.
• Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles, particularly in the financial services industry, is a plus
