DRAM Product Test Development Engineer

• Develop new tests and test algorithms for products, which covers test software and hardware requirements, defect coverage, characterization, trending, process flow, and test times
• Develop test programs for products using primarily Python and C coding on automated test equipment in the given area followed by test program release to manufacturing area
• Be a lead to new product introduction (NPI) as well as pre/post silicon check out
• Develop test Automation solutions as well as electrical validation and qualification of new test equipment and tools
• Independently debug and identify root causes on test issues and provide feedback to external groups
• Provide statistical data analysis, analytics and justification on program validation and its release to ensure program quality
• Evaluate and verify yields/quality with global teams to ensure we are shipping the highest quality product to our customers with enforce to all data sheet specification
• Support both internal and external groups on experiments designed to improve yield or capacity by resolving test issues that impact site in a timely manner
• Maintain tactical and project updates on daily and weekly basis, respectively. Updates should show progress against the timelines.
• Drive Innovation and Improvement with the end goal of reducing the Cost of Test for Micron in the Test Department
• Support intra-departmental (and multi-site) teams in development of new processes and capabilities to support product roadmap; lead teams and drive development where necessary

• Knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering, as applicable to memory devices and test hardware
• Knowledge of digital systems and digital logic
• Strong logical thinking, as applied to general programming and problem solving.
• [Preferred] Basic knowledge of semiconductors and transistor operation

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong academic foundation in digital logic, electrical engineering fundamentals, and problem solving.
• Recent graduate or graduating prior to start date.
• Working proficiency in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
• Demonstrated initiative through coursework, research, internships, leadership activities, or technical projects.

• Python, C, or C++ programming experience.
• Basic Linux/Unix command-line experience.
• Ability to analyze, debug, and solve technical problems using a structured approach.
• Familiarity with data analysis and statistical methods.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools and automation solutions responsibly and effectively.

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business.
