The Global AML Operations (GAO) organization is a central control function responsible for governing, facilitating, and overseeing the end-to-end Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program across Global Banking (GB) and Global Markets (GM). The Life Cycle Management (LCM) organization supports effective AML risk management through ongoing monitoring, enhanced due diligence, client risk assessments, screening, and adherence to global regulatory requirements. The Enhanced Client Due Diligence (ECDD) team is responsible for conducting enhanced reviews of high-risk clients, products, and activities. The team partners with AML Operations, Compliance, Client Teams, KYC, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk identification, documentation, escalation, and mitigation while maintaining adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies.

The LCM ECDD Senior Operations Consultant is responsible for performing enhanced due diligence activities for high-risk clients, products, entities, and transactions. This role supports the execution of the Bank's AML program by conducting comprehensive client reviews, collecting and analyzing due diligence documentation, assessing inherent and residual risks, and ensuring regulatory and policy adherence. The Senior Analyst serves as a liaison between AML Operations, Client Teams, Compliance, KYC, and business partners to facilitate the timely completion of due diligence requirements, issue resolution, and risk mitigation activities. The role requires strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Enhanced Client Due Diligence (ECDD) reviews for high-risk clients, client types, products, and activities.
• Perform collection, analysis, and validation of Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and supporting documentation.
• Review and analyze client data, screening results, ownership structures, transactional activity, and risk indicators to determine adherence to Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate customer and party information to identify, assess, escalate, and mitigate AML, sanctions, reputational, and regulatory risks.
• Partner with Client Teams, KYC, Compliance, Sales, AML Operations, and other stakeholders to obtain required information and facilitate timely case resolution.
• Support ongoing monitoring activities and periodic risk-based reviews of high-risk clients.
• Document review findings, risk assessments, and due diligence decisions in accordance with established procedures and governance requirements.
• Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and operational risks, and recommend solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Support Audit, Compliance Testing, Regulatory Examination, and Quality Assurance activities, including research, issue remediation, and response tracking.
• Maintain adherence to enterprise policies, procedures, laws, rules, regulations, and AML program requirements.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, remediation efforts, and strategic projects designed to enhance risk management and operational excellence.
• Proactively identify emerging risks and escalate concerns appropriately through established governance channels.
• Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and subject matter expertise to peers and business partners, as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years' experience in AML, KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence, Compliance, Financial Crimes, Risk Management, or related operational functions.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze complex client relationships, ownership structures, risk factors, and due diligence information.
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks, perform root cause analysis, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly to various audiences.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business, operations, compliance, and risk management teams.
• Knowledge of AML regulations, sanctions requirements, KYC standards, and regulatory expectations.

Desired Qualifications:

• ACAMS certification or equivalent AML certification.
• Working knowledge of the Enterprise Financial Crimes Standard, Global AML Program, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience with AWARE and other AML-related systems and tools.
• Understanding of Global Banking and Global Markets client types, products, and services.
• Experience supporting regulatory examinations, internal audits, and issue remediation activities.
