As our Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) Global Operations Senior Manager, your main objective is to achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, informing them of our service offerings, capabilities and credentials and communicating how these will benefit their organizations.  EY GCR services help companies achieve their strategic objectives for outsourcing their tax and finance compliance and reporting functions at a local, regional and global level.  For more information on GCR, visit our websiteGlobal compliance and reporting support | EY - Global.

This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney or Naarm - Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you'll lead complex tax engagements, build strategic client relationships, and contribute to the continued evolution of EY’s global tax delivery model..

• Lead and coordinate global and regional tax compliance and tax advisory engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.
• Develop engagement budgets, determine resource requirements and oversee engagement delivery across multiple teams and jurisdictions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers, identifying opportunities to support client growth and deliver long-term value.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members while fostering knowledge sharing, collaboration and open communication across global teams.
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation and transformation of global tax delivery models, including the adoption of new technologies and AI-enabled ways of working.

Skills and attributes for success

• 7+ years of relevant business tax experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex tax and sizeable engagements while balancing commercial, client and people priorities.
• Exceptional leadership, supervisory, analytical and organisational capability, with the ability to motivate, develop and support high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholder across borders.
• A strong commitment to tax technology, AI-enabled ways of working and continuous improvement, together with a commitment to ongoing learning and innovation.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

• CPA or another relevant professional qualification, completed or in progress.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and managing stakeholders across multiple time zones.
