This role is critical to transforming memory design workflows using AI and automation. You will partner closely with design, layout, CAD, and product teams to reduce manual effort, improve quality, and accelerate time-to-tapeout across memory products.
Responsibilities
Develop automation solutions for layout generation, floor planning, AMS, and PDN.
Create scalable CAD methodologies improving design quality and productivity.
Build software frameworks integrating EDA tools and design workflows.
Automate analysis, debugging, optimization, and design-space exploration processes.
Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy advanced design solutions.
Apply AI and analytics to accelerate design convergence and closure.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Five years experience in CAD, layout, AMS, PDN, or EDA.
Strong programming skills in Python, Tcl, C++, or similar languages.
Experience developing production-quality automation tools and CAD methodologies.
Working knowledge of floor planning, layout, AMS, or power integrity.
Experience with commercial EDA tools and semiconductor design flows.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience with memory design, custom layouts, or advanced-node technologies.
Expertise in layout automation, floorplanning, AMS, or PDN methodologies.
Experience applying AI or machine learning to design automation.
Knowledge of Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens, or equivalent EDA platforms.
Proven collaboration across design, CAD, verification, and product teams.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$170,000.00 - $290,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
