Qualcomm provides complete chipset solution that includes CPU, Modem, Application Processor, Multi-media engines, Interconnect and more. Power is a key area that drives the value of our chips. As fabrication technology node shrinks, and performance requirement become higher, it is crucial to provide power optimized solutions, which is the responsibility of the group that you will be working in.
Key responsibilities are:
On Target power optimization feature prototyping and waveform analysis
Develop novel power optimized multi-media HW and Systems architecture for next generation SOCs
Implement models for power projections, validation and architectural trade off analysis
Establish use-case and HW core power targets
Work with HW/SW design teams to implement and validate power features and targets through various design stages from concept to implementation
Competitive analysis and Machine Learning workload analysis experience is a bonus
Industry experience inthe oneor more of the following areas:
· Solidfoundation in Electrical Systems Engineering and Digital Logic Design
· Solidunderstanding of HW micro-architecture of digital systems with the understanding of ASIC implementation flow from concept to production
· Knowledgeof system level aspects of low power design and the ability to model and analyze power at system and core level
· Experiencewith video encoder/decoder systems and architecture
· Experiencewith camera systems and architecture
· Experiencein power modeling, verification, and simulation tools
· Experiencewith high level synthesis tools and flow

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$109,400.00 - $164,200.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
