Experience in Video domain for the position ofStaffEngineerQualcommIndia Private Limited, specifically for an Auto Video Staff Engineer role, requiring~10+years of experience in multimedia domains such as video, display, graphics, and camera technologies, with expertise in video codecs (H264, H265, VP9, HEVC, AV1), video technologies (Gstreamer, Codec2, V4l2, Android multimedia framework, FFMEG, DRM), Linux embedded systems, and strong C/C++ programming skills. Responsibilities include designing, developing, andmaintainingvideo features on Qualcomm SOCs, supporting multi-core ARM/CPUs and hypervisor systems, debugging secure video playback issues,optimizingpower and performance for automotive applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Skills/experience:
10 to 12Years of experience in Multimediadomainlike Video, display, graphics, camera etc.
Experience in handling video codecs like H264, H265, VP9, HEVC, AV1 etc.
Expertisein Video technologies likeGstreamer, Codec2, V4l2, Android multimedia framework, FFMEG, secure video playback,DRM(Digital rights management) etc.
Experience in the Linux embedded domain to design, develop and support software solutions on multi-core ARM/CPUs, Strong C/C++ programming skills.
Experience in memory management flows, buffer optimizations, performanceimprovementsetc.
Hands on Experience in Linux kernel programming, Linux memory management and commendable experience in Linux device drivers is MUST.
Multimedia domain knowledge isplus asdomains are interconnected andhaveoverall system and MM knowledge is Plus.
Should have good kernel and user space debuggingskills, debugging using JTAG or ICE debuggers
Motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong C Programming Skills.
Hands on Experience in Linux kernel programming, Linux memory management and commendable experience in Linux device drivers is MUST.
Responsibilities:
Design,develop,deliverandmaintainVideofeatures on Qualcomm SOCs.
Abilityto developand support software solutions on multi-core ARM/CPUs, Hypervisor based systems.
Ability to debug issues withEnd-to-Enduse cases, secure video playback.
Power and performance - KPI optimizations to support car play and Android Auto requirements, conformance certifications.
Technically sound and Self driven,motivatedand committed to deadlines
Technically leading and delivering features assigned on time,collaboratingwith cross functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ECE, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, ECE, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, ECE, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 6+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
