General Summary
The RF Product Development and Test Engineering group develops test solutions for design verification and characterization of highly integrated RF receiver/transmitter/transceiver ASICsandFront-End Modulesdesigned by QCT.
Job responsibilities for this position include test software development, design anddebugof test interface hardware, testmethodologydevelopment and implementation, test equipment automation, and test solution verification.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree inElectrical, Electronics,Mechatronics, ComputerScienceor related fields.
>1year experiencein test validation, test automation,RFtesting.
Experience in key RF measurements(i.eEVM, ACLR, Gain, NF, IP3, Phase Noise, etc.)
Understanding ofbasicRFtest equipment (spectrum analyzer,network analyzer, signal source analyzer,signal generators, oscilloscopes,etc.).
Understanding ofbasicATEtestplatforms(Advantest,Uflex,Cohu, etc.).
Experience withdeveloping/modifyingVisual Basic,C++,C#, Java, Python,LabVIEWand/orTestStand.
KnowledgeinRF-PCB designbasics.
Understandsboard design,debug, and development.
Physical Requirements
• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
•Monitorsand utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in RF testmethodologydevelopment and implementation usingdifferent programming languagesand test platforms.
Strong understanding of RF Measurement science.
Solid understanding of the measurements necessary to characterize an RF device through theoretical and practical applications.
Familiarity with cellular standards such as CDMA2000, 1X-EVDO, LTE, LTEU, WCDMA, UMTS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, or wireless peripheral standards such as 802.11x WLAN or other OFDM-based systems, GPS, and Bluetooth.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
