The Impact you will have in this role:
The Finance Analytics & Innovation Associate supports Finance transformation by delivering analytics solutions, identifying process improvement opportunities, and enabling innovation across the CFO organization.
The role is primarily responsible for developing reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights while partnering with Finance and Technology stakeholders to modernize processes, improve data accessibility, and support strategic initiatives involving automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
This position serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping to translate business needs into scalable solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Analytics & Reporting (50%)
- Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational insights.
- Develop Finance dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics.
- Support executive and management reporting initiatives.
- Create and maintain governed reporting assets and analytical datasets.
- Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
- Partner with business users to understand reporting needs and improve analytics adoption.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement (25%)
- Identify opportunities to automate manual Finance processes.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities that can improve Finance operations.
- Support innovation initiatives focused on productivity, analytics, and decision support.
- Participate in proof-of-concepts and pilot programs involving automation and AI solutions.
- Recommend improvements to reporting and data consumption processes.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement (15%)
- Gather, document, and refine business requirements.
- Assist with user story creation and backlog management.
- Document business processes and workflow requirements.
- Facilitate requirements discussions between business and technology teams.
- Support testing and user acceptance activities.
Data Governance & Data Management (10%)
- Support adherence to enterprise data governance standards.
- Assist with documenting business rules, data definitions, and critical data elements.
- Participate in data quality improvement initiatives.
- Support lineage and metadata management efforts.
- Promote adoption of trusted and governed data assets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in Analytics, Reporting, Finance Technology, Business Analysis, or Data Management.
- Experience using reporting and visualization tools such as:
- Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Similar BI Platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis techniques.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Familiarity with Finance functions including FP&A, General Ledger, Treasury, or Regulatory Reporting.
- Exposure to SQL, Data Warehousing, ADW, Snowflake, or data integration concepts.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of AI, automation, or emerging analytics technologies.
- Experience working within data governance frameworks.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
