Life Insurance Management Consultant

The Opportunity

Life & Annuity carriers are modernizing core platforms, redesigning operating models, and exploring how AI and intelligent agents can improve business performance. In this role, you will work with client and Accenture teams to analyze business problems, design practical solutions, and support transformation delivery.

Role Summary

Life Insurance Management Consultants own defined components of work across complex transformation programs. They translate business objectives into analyses, process designs, requirements, and implementation-ready deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Support business and technology workstreams from discovery through implementation and value realization
• Analyze current-state processes and develop future-state recommendations
• Design end-to-end workflows across the Life & Annuity value chain
• Develop requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other implementation-ready artifacts
• Support product management activities, including backlog refinement, prioritization, and value tracking
• Contribute to AI-enabled workflow design, including human decision points, controls, and value measures
• Connect business needs with digital core platforms, workflow, data, integration, and digital channels
• Facilitate working sessions and track scope, dependencies, risks, decisions, quality, and adoption
• Develop client-ready analyses, roadmaps, business cases, and presentations
• Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and reusable assets
• Build trusted working relationships across client and Accenture teams
• Travel up to 80% based on client and project requirements

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of management consulting, carrier, or business and technology transformation experience, including experience within Life Insurance or Annuities
• 1+ year of experience contributing to a business or technology workstream within a transformation, modernization, or platform implementation program
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Life & Annuity value chain across business and technology
• Knowledge of policy administration and digital core modernization, including workflow, data, integration, and digital channels
• Familiarity with platforms such as ALIP, OIPA, Sapiens, FAST, Fadata, EIS, Majesco, or comparable technologies
• Practical knowledge of AI-enabled or agentic workflows
• Strong problem-solving, analysis, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, client-ready deliverables with limited direction
• Life & Annuity carrier background and relevant industry, agile, business analysis, product, architecture, or cloud credentials are valued
  

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
