As a Technical Producer II on the Riot Infrastructure team, you'll drive direction and delivery across the platforms the rest of Riot ships on: live game services in every region, internal tools Rioters build to do their jobs, and a fast-growing set of AI workloads. Much of the work ahead is extending those platforms to support emergent or underserved use cases, and you'll help decide what that should look like. You'll partner closely with engineering leads across Infrastructure and the teams across Riot who depend on what we deliver.
Responsibilities:
- Help shape product experiences that make it easier for teams to build, deploy, operate, and scale systems globally.
- Provide input on how our platforms need to evolve as AI adoption accelerates.
- Support all development phases of infrastructure products, platforms, services, and operational experiences.
- Own requirements for your problem area: what to build, what "good" looks like, and how we'll know we got there.
- Work with engineering to design against user requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and pressure-test implementations.
- Coordinate dependencies and escalate risks and blockers appropriately, with context and a proposed path forward.
- Use customer feedback, product signals, test results, and operational data to validate problems and drive priorities.
- Monitor product and service health, including user experience, cost, usage, performance, and operational effort, and help turn signals into improvements.
- Improve team practices and product feedback loops so decisions are clearer, delivery is more predictable, and customer experience is more consistent.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a technical producer, product manager, or project manager, or in a comparable role supporting a technical product, platform, or service.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Competent understanding of technical systems, tools, and engineering practices in at least one relevant infrastructure or platform area.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and how technical choices affect reliability, operations, and developer and player experience.
- Ability to set product and technical requirements within a defined space and evaluate designs or architecture against those requirements.
- Ability to identify and explain technical tradeoffs and their cost, operational, and customer impact to a technical and non-technical audience.
- Demonstrated judgment in facilitating technical decisions with engineering, infrastructure, and game-team leadership.
- Experience owning a roadmap, product plan, or execution plan through more than one stage of the product lifecycle, including launch and post-launch improvement.
- Ability to define success criteria and use feedback, metrics, and operational data to guide prioritization and delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication and follow-through with partners and customers.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with infrastructure, cloud, developer tooling, or live-service products.
- Demonstrated judgment in facilitating technical decisions with engineering, infrastructure, and game-team leadership.
- Experience serving engineers, game developers, or other internal customers and incorporating their feedback into product decisions.
- Experience improving developer productivity, operational quality, or self-service for a central platform.
- Experience applying data, experimentation, automation, or AI-enabled workflows to deliver customer value or improve efficiency.
- Experience working across infrastructure and game teams in a globally distributed, high-scale, or live-service environment.
