Job Description:
Data Services and the underlying Storage Solutions are a key investment area for HPE. Data is at the heart of digital transformation, AI, analytics and cyber resilience. Over the past years, we have invested significantly in R&D and acquisitions to build a software-driven, cloud-operated portfolio based on modern cloud-native platforms and integrated, cloud-enabled Data Services. Our portfolio extends beyond the traditional data center, providing hybrid solutions that span from Edge to Cloud.
Our Data Solutions integrate with HPE’s Compute, Networking and Workload solutions through the HPE GreenLake Cloud Platform. And the journey has only started, with continued innovation in areas such as AI, cyber resilience, hybrid cloud and data modernization.
We are currently looking for a Storage Sales Specialist for our Data Solutions Team Switzerland, based in Zurich.
To bring these benefits to even more customers, we are expanding our Storage salesforce in Switzerland. We are looking for a dynamic technology seller with a hunter mindset, a consultative and challenger approach, and a passion for helping customers transform their data infrastructure and unlock business value from their data.
As a Storage Sales Specialist, you:
- Engage daily with existing and new customers, independently and in close collaboration with HPE’s channel partners, supported by technical solution architects.
- Leverage HPE’s marketing engine and work with channel partners to identify target accounts and develop initiatives to win new customers for HPE Storage Solutions.
- Build and manage a well-founded, long-term pipeline to increase HPE’s market share in the Swiss market.
- Apply a consultative and challenger selling approach to engage business and IT decision-makers, challenge the status quo and position HPE’s Storage and Data Services portfolio as a strategic enabler of hybrid cloud, cyber resilience, AI and digital transformation.
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ business drivers and translate their requirements into sustainable HPE business through a comprehensive consulting approach across all levels of the organization.
- Foster and expand existing relationships while developing new relationships with business and technical stakeholders at customers and channel partners to strengthen HPE’s position and expand our footprint.
- Lead opportunities throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from initial contact and qualification through PoCs, tenders, negotiations and successful contract closure.

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…
- Academic degree in business administration, technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant sales experience in the Storage, Data Solutions or broader IT Infrastructure industry, with a proven track record of selling complex technology solutions, building trusted customer relationships and bringing fresh perspectives to customer challenges.
- Very good knowledge of the Storage and Data Services market, including Backup & Recovery, Data Protection, Cyber Resilience, File/Object Storage and modern Hybrid Cloud approaches.
- Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, forecast accurately and apply sales excellence across enterprise and public-sector accounts.
- Strong customer orientation with a consultative and challenger selling approach, enabling you to engage decision-makers, challenge conventional thinking and drive strategic business outcomes.
- Excellent business and financial acumen, combined with strong technology knowledge.
- A collaborative, team-oriented and results-driven working style.
- Creativity, initiative and reliability.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and closing skills.
- Business fluency in (Swiss) German and English.
