Early Career Intern – Investment Technology Overview

Ready to make your mark in the world of investments? Spend an unforgettable summer at Invesco alongside a select group of driven students. Our 9-week Summer Internship Program kicks off in June 2027 and offers you the chance to dive into the fast-paced world of investments, learn from industry pros, and build connections that will last a lifetime.

In this internship, you’ll get hands-on experience, one-on-one mentorship, and the inside scoop on what it’s really like to work at a global investment firm. As part of a Summer Internship Program cohort, you will have a variety of initiatives to keep you engaged throughout the summer including orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. You’ll work side-by-side with talented teams to learn about the business.

Overview of Department/Team

The Investment Technology team supports a portfolio of critical middle- and back-office applications, as well as the technology platforms for the Invesco Trust Company business. The team combines business analysis, engineering, and Agile delivery leadership to ensure stability, enhancement, and strategic evolution of systems that support investment operations, data management, fund administration, trust services, and operational processing.

Partnering closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, vendors, and technology organizations, the team delivers technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, enhance data quality, and support regulatory and business objectives. The team is responsible for key platforms including CWp, CADIS, EREF, SREF, FundStation, and several others, driving both day-to-day support and long-term transformation initiatives across Invesco's investment operations landscape.

What you’ll do

• Learn the Invesco business model and growth strategy (product, investment, sales, operations and corporate services) 
• Develop professional skills and networking across the organization as well as the industry

• Participate in cultural, technology, and management training 
• Shadow end-to-end technology solutions
• Build one or more of the following core capabilities (business analysis, project management, application development, web development, enterprise architecture, quality assurance, infrastructure engineering) 
• Participate in meetings with the technology team and contribute to the influence of positive change and ideas 
• Develop your technical aptitude, business insight, and collaborative abilities through a variety of project work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and be a rising Junior graduating by summer of 2028
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• All majors are welcome with an emphasis on Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology.
• Strong leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills; ambitious and creative demeanor
• Strong analytical/quantitative and technical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Technical course work 
• Ability to adapt to ambiguous situations 
• Ability to work well with others across teams with varied strengths 
• Must be able to work in Invesco’s Houston office
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).
• Relocation and housing will not be included if an offer is extended.
