As an Associate Vice President (AVP) in Cyber Foundry, you will provide senior leadership to our diverse teams of passionate and expert professionals, including Managers, technical leads, and analysts, to help solve some of today's toughest cybersecurity and organizational challenges, enabling our clients to grow the business while managing evolving risk across a portfolio of engagements.

Work you'll do

As an Associate Vice President, Engineering Managed Services on the Cyber Foundry team, you will be responsible for providing senior leadership across a portfolio of cyber operations and managed security services engagements.

    - Lead a portfolio of cyber operations and managed security services engagements, including delivery, financial forecasting, margin management, resource planning, service-level agreement performance, and engagement governance

    - Serve as the senior escalation point and trusted advisor to client chief information security officers, chief information officers, and other executives for security incidents, strategic risk decisions, executive briefings, and post-incident reviews

    - Set operational and technical strategy across security operations and incident response, endpoint security, application security, threat and vulnerability management, identity and access management, and network security

    - Lead, coach, and develop Managers, technical leads, and analysts across engagements and geographies; oversee engagement onboarding, transitions, reporting, and escalation management

    - Drive Cyber Foundry practice growth through sales pursuits, request for proposal responses, client solution presentations, vendor relationships, and adoption of cybersecurity methodologies, architectures, and technologies

Qualifications

Required:

    - 10+ years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC), Managed Security Services, or Cyber Operations, including 5+ years of people-leadership experience across engagements

    - 5+ years of experience with security technologies, including threat and vulnerability management, Security Operations Center operations, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), proxies, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Endpoint Detection and Response/Extended Detection and Response (EDR/XDR), antivirus, sandboxing, network- and host-based firewalls, threat intelligence, and penetration testing

    - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information security, mathematics, decision sciences, risk management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering

    - Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

    - One or more of the following certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification

    - Experience building or scaling a Managed Security Services or Cyber Operations practice, including capability build-out and service maturity roadmaps

    - Experience leading sales pursuits, request for proposal (RFP) responses, and solution development for cyber managed services engagements

    - Experience translating technical security findings into client recommendations and executive presentations

    - Experience coaching and mentoring Managers into senior leadership roles

    - Experience coordinating activities across multiple cyber workstreams and engagements

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 163,400 to 322,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
