Issuer Services provides Corporate Trust, Loan Agency, Bonds and Escrow services to Corporate and Institutional Banking clients across 17 markets.
This is a high-impact opportunity to help transform the Issuer Services business from a “maintain” operating model to a technology-enabled “grow” model. As the Data and Digital Propositions Lead, you’ll define and deliver propositions that use data, digital capability, automation and Artificial Intelligence to improve end-2-end client as well as business experience, strengthen operational resilience, reduce risk and enable sustainable growth.
You’ll work across business, technology, operations, product, risk and control teams to turn strategic ambition into measurable outcomes. The role will be central to the business plan’s objectives, including but not limited to establishing client data exchange mechanisms, enhancing reporting internal and external, developing APIs, supporting digital initiatives and implementing AI use cases as identified and defined in the Future State Architecture and other initiatives to enable a platform for growth.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director - Issuer Services Tech - Data and Digital Proposition Lead in CIB Tech – Securities Services & Digital Assets Tech.
- Own the data and digital proposition strategy for Issuer Services, aligning priorities to the growth ambitions of business.
- Identify, shape and deliver technology-led business transformation opportunities across Corporate Trust, Loan Agency and Escrow, covering process redesign, automation, data remediation, digital servicing and client experience.
- Build a prioritised proposition roadmap covering capabilities such as client data exchange, enhanced reporting (internal and external), developing APIs for internal and external (client facing) use cases.
- Lead the identification, assessment and implementation of Artificial Intelligence use cases, including but not limited to intelligent document processing, operational support, data quality improvement, risk monitoring, workflow optimisation and client servicing.
- Establish a disciplined approach to Artificial Intelligence delivery, covering business case development, data readiness, model risk considerations, responsible use, governance, implementation, adoption and benefits realisation.
- Partner with product, operations, technology, architecture, data, risk and control teams to deliver scalable solutions that reduce manual activity, improve resilience and support accurate, timely processing.
- Shape digital propositions supporting the business's growth agenda, including digital bonds, tokenisation, loan agency expansion, structured / infrastructure finance servicing and improved connectivity with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Define and track measurable outcomes, including improved client experience, reduced operational risk, lower manual payment volumes, improved data quality, increased straight-through processing and sustainable cost efficiency.
- Establish and run portfolio governance mechanism across Issuer Services Technology
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong experience in data strategy, data-led proposition development and practical application of data to improve business performance, customer outcomes and operational decision-making.
- Strongly opiniated about technology stack for delivery of data and digital propositions particularly on build as opposed to buy strategies and free and open source software.
- Proven experience leading digital experience, proposition design or client transformation initiatives within complex, regulated financial services or similarly highly controlled environments.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering technology-led business transformation from strategy and discovery through to implementation, adoption and measurable benefits.
- Mandatory experience using and implementing Artificial Intelligence projects, with a clear understanding of use-case assessment, data requirements, solution delivery, governance, responsible Artificial Intelligence and production adoption.
- Strong understanding of modern technology and digital delivery concepts, including application programming interfaces, data platforms, workflow automation, integration, cloud-enabled services and emerging digital assets.
- Ability to translate complex business, operational and client needs into clear propositions, investment cases, delivery roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, technology, operations, product, risk, compliance and regional teams.
- A strategic, commercially minded and collaborative approach, with sound judgement and a strong focus on operational resilience, customer outcomes, control effectiveness and sustainable growth.
