As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting and evolving the platforms that underpin identity, authentication and API gateway services across our technology environment. Working within an agile engineering team, you'll help build, maintain and improve the systems, automation and tooling that keep our services secure, reliable and available. From contributing to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to supporting platform configuration and observability initiatives, you'll gain exposure across the full software delivery lifecycle while delivering value in iterative, incremental releases.
You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to troubleshoot issues, improve monitoring and alerting capabilities, and support the smooth promotion of changes across environments. You'll participate in code reviews, contribute to operational excellence, and take part in a shared on-call roster to help ensure high availability of customer-facing services. AI-assisted engineering tools will form part of your day-to-day workflow, helping you accelerate debugging, documentation and development activities while building your expertise in platform and IAM engineering.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience
- Familiarity with Git, pull request workflows and approvals
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts (willing to learn pipeline-specific tooling on the job)
- Some scripting experience (Python and/or Bash)
- Eagerness to learn cloud infrastructure and IaC concepts — no deep prior experience required
- Curiosity about observability tooling (logs, metrics, alerts)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging instincts; comfortable asking questions
- Willingness to learn and adopt AI-assisted development workflows as a primary way of working
- Comfortable treating AI tools as a collaborator to verify and reason with, not just a shortcut — you'll be expected to understand and validate what they produce
