About the Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the strategy on financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and financial controls, ensuring
compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements of AIA Philippines Group. You will
also provide oversight of external audits, ICFR governance, Finance Operations, and key financial processes,
while driving accurate financial reporting, actionable business insights, and a strong controls and accountability
culture.
This position objective for this role are as follows:
1. Oversee the end-to-end financial reporting processes for AIA Philippines Group, AIA Philippines and BPI AIA and ensure compliance of AIA Philippines and BPI AIA with the required reporting standards (IFRS 17, Philippine GAAP, local statutory basis of reporting) and IC’s capital and solvency requirements)
2. Manage external audits for AIA Philippines and BPI AIA and navigate the shift to the new auditor transitioning in 2025, with official first year of audit in 2026 under IFRS 4 reporting and with the following year of audit shifting to IFRS 17
reporting in 2027 and facilitate smooth transition
3. Lead the financial planning and management processes, deliver accurate
financial projections and analysis of the overall IFRS 17 OPAT results in the
context of key business drivers, in partnership with the Actuarial, Finance,
Distribution and Operations, highlight actionable insights and associated
levers to management, and drive execution of agreed actions/initiatives
4. Govern AIA Philippines Group’s Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting
(ICFR) processes and strengthen controls framework to ensure accuracy,
reliability, and integrity of financial results. This includes designing effective
controls, monitoring adherence, addressing control gaps and promoting
“controls mindset” and culture of accountability across the organization
5. Provide oversight to the Finance Operations-Distribution Accounting subfunction and ensure accurate calculation of the compensation under the BSE
variable pay scheme
6. Serves as key contact for AIA Philippines group financial reporting, ICFR
management and financial planning and management
