Kpler · Brazil · 13h ago
About the Role
Latin America is a vital engine of global trade, driving physical commodity flows that fuel world markets. As Commercial Manager for Commodities & Financials, you will bridge the physical and financial commodity ecosystems across LATAM, establishing high-value partnerships with producers, trading desks, investment banks, and hedge funds. Operating as a lead commercial strategist, you will build Kpler’s regional footprint from the ground up by opening new accounts and expanding our footprint as our São Paulo hub grows. This role is pivotal in empowering regional decision-makers with the transparency and real-time intelligence needed to navigate evolving market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
-
Drive New Business Revenue: Formulate and execute a strategic territory plan across Latin America to identify, source, and convert top-tier target accounts across physical commodity corporates and financial institutions.
-
Lead Complex Sales Cycles: Direct end-to-end enterprise deals—from initial discovery and workflow-tailored demonstrations to commercial negotiations, legal execution, and procurement closure.
-
Multi-Thread Decision-Makers: Engage senior executive stakeholders, including Heads of Trading, Portfolio Managers, Chief Data Officers, and Risk Leaders, establishing multi-departmental relationships early in the engagement process.
-
Position Platform Solutions: Map Kpler’s comprehensive suite of commodity intelligence, freight analytics, sanctions screening, and API data feeds directly to client trading and analytical workflows.
-
Expand Regional Presence: Represent Kpler at key industry events across Latin American trade hubs, building a trusted reputation throughout the regional commercial and financial communities.
-
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Market Analysts, Product Management, and Customer Success to deliver seamless customer onboarding and bespoke pilot programs.
Experience & Background
-
Proven Enterprise Sales Record: Demonstrable experience in full-cycle enterprise B2B sales within market intelligence, SaaS, alternative data, financial terminals, or commodity analytics.
-
Market & Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of physical commodity flows (energy, metals, or agriculture) or financial markets (trading desks, hedge funds, asset managers), with the ability to converse credibly with quantitative analysts and heads of trading.
-
Trilingual Communication: Professional fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish to effectively lead negotiations and presentations across Latin America.
-
Hunter Mindset: Track record of self-sourcing strategic pipeline and winning USD six-figure new logo deals independently.
-
Direct experience working with physical trade data, AIS tracking, freight analytics, or data delivery via REST APIs and data feeds.
-
Existing senior network of trading, research, and risk executives across major Latin American financial and commercial hubs.
