We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Breast Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical and multidisciplinary care to patients with benign and malignant breast conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical assessment, diagnosis, surgical management, postoperative care, and long-term follow-up of breast patients, working closely with radiology, pathology, oncology, plastic surgery, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Assess and diagnose patients presenting with breast-related conditions.
- Provide comprehensive management of benign and malignant breast diseases.
- Perform breast surgical procedures according to qualifications, privileges, and clinical competency.
- Manage breast cancer patients in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform and manage procedures such as:
- Evaluate and manage patients with breast lumps, nipple discharge, breast pain, gynecomastia, and other breast abnormalities.
- Review and correlate mammography, ultrasound, MRI, pathology, and other diagnostic findings.
- Participate in breast multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
- Coordinate treatment plans with medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, genetics, and reconstructive/plastic surgery teams.
- Provide preoperative counseling and explain treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
- Provide postoperative care and monitor patients for complications.
- Provide appropriate long-term surveillance and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety requirements.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement programs, CME/CPD activities, and departmental education.
- Support teaching and supervision of residents, fellows, and junior medical staff where applicable.
- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery or an accepted equivalent.
- Recognized fellowship/subspecialty qualification or substantial specialist training in Breast Surgery / Breast Surgical Oncology, where applicable.
- Current UAE professional license or eligibility for Consultant licensing.
- Valid BLS certification; additional certification may be required according to hospital policy.
