The opportunity
EY is looking for a Senior Typist to support our Jordan Audit team by preparing, formatting, proofreading, and maintaining high-quality documents in line with EY standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring that client deliverables, financial statements, reports, and presentations are professionally formatted, error-free, and delivered within tight deadlines.
Your key responsibilities
You will provide document production and formatting support to engagement teams, ensuring that client deliverables are prepared accurately, professionally, and in accordance with EY standards. You will work closely with team members to format, proofread, edit, and update financial statements, reports, presentations, proposals, management letters, and other business documents while maintaining high levels of quality and consistency.
You will be responsible for incorporating revisions, updating figures and content, converting and merging files, and ensuring that all documents are correctly formatted and ready for client delivery. The ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure, particularly during peak audit periods, will be essential.
You will develop productive working relationships with engagement teams, proactively communicate progress on assignments, and help ensure that all deliverables meet EY's quality standards. With a strong focus on attention to detail, you will identify formatting inconsistencies, proofreading errors, and document quality issues, ensuring that final outputs are professional, accurate, and ready for review and distribution.
Skills and attributes for success
Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven individuals will thrive in this role. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines, excellent proofreading capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate documents are essential for success. Effective communication and a strong focus on quality will enable you to support engagement teams and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
Qualification & Experience
1) Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, English, Information Technology, or a related field.
2) 4-5 years of experience as a Typist, preferably within a professional services environment.
