This AVP position will play a key leadership role in advancing MetLife’s market risk management framework for MetLife Bermuda businesses. The position will drive the integration of EC, GAAP, regulatory capital, and liquidity management considerations into market risk analysis, ALM strategy, and risk governance. The role will also lead ongoing enhancement of market risk analytics, data standards, risk appetite frameworks, and portfolio ALM investment guidelines.
- Lead efforts to enhance/evolve market risk framework for MetLife’s Bermuda businesses
- Better integrate EC, GAAP, regulatory, and liquidity perspectives into market risk analysis and ALM strategy
- Perform robust review of metrics and standards for portfolio ALM investment guidelines
- Provide primary support for one or more ALM Working Groups
- Lead development of assigned ALM deep dives and playbooks
- Review and communicate ALM strategies, financial results and disclosures in regulatory filings
- Maintain risk appetite statements and lead calibrations of risk limits and regional cascade
- Act as deputy Market Risk Officer of the Bermuda reinsurance entities
Incumbent should have a strong understanding of ALM, financial markets, risk management techniques, and general business skills, as well as the ability to manage several diverse projects simultaneously.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent organization
- 7+ years of experience in ALM, risk management, pricing and/or investments
- Project management experience and track record of getting collaborative projects through to completion
- Excellent organizational, mathematical, and analytical abilities
- Excels at building partnerships and fostering teamwork
- Experience with a broad range of investments, derivatives, and insurance product types a plus

The expected salary range for this position is $190,000 - $215,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
