Finance Team Manager – Captive & Insurance Management Are you an experienced finance leader looking to lead and grow a high-performing team? What the day will look like In this role, you will lead a team of finance professionals and serve as the main contact for a portfolio of clients. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, valuable insights, and excellent service delivery. You will collaborate closely with clients, boards, senior management, and external partners on various financial and regulatory issues. Key responsibilities include: Leading, managing, and developing a unit of finance specialists, providing direction, coaching, performance management, and technical support to maintain high-quality service delivery and professional progress. Serving as the primary client contact for several entities within the portfolio, acting as the key relationship manager, and coordinating service delivery across all relevant collaborators. Managing the preparation and review of management accounts, management reports, statutory financial statements, including IFRS 17 reporting when relevant, and all other financial reports within set deadlines. Delivering financial analysis and strategic insights to clients, boards, and senior management, along with suggestions to aid informed decision-making. Taking charge of preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, business plans, and cash flow projections according to client needs. Ensuring effective financial controls, processes, and risk management practices are implemented and maintained across client portfolios. Handling client relationships and functioning as the chief contact for financial and regulatory concerns. Liaising with regulators, auditors, tax advisors, investment managers, banks, and other external collaborators on behalf of clients. Recognizing opportunities to enhance processes and promoting operational efficiencies within the finance function. Assisting with special projects, central initiatives, and ad hoc assignments as required. Skills and experience that will lead to success Proven experience in a senior finance role with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis (ideally including exposure to IFRS and/or IFRS 17). Proven experience in guiding, nurturing, and mentoring a group of finance professionals. Strong client relationship management skills, with experience engaging with boards, senior collaborators, and external parties such as auditors and regulators. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights. Strong understanding of financial controls, risk management, and process improvement within a finance environment.
