Director – Captives (Aon Cayman) Are you a senior reinsurance and captive insurance leader looking for your next challenge? What the day will look like As a Director within Aon Cayman, you will provide strategic leadership, client oversight and commercial direction across a portfolio of Cayman-domiciled captive and reinsurance clients. You will be a trusted adviser to clients while helping drive the continued growth and success of Aon's captive and alternative risk practice in the Cayman Islands. Key responsibilities include: Serving as the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of captive and reinsurance clients, providing strategic, operational, governance and regulatory oversight. Building and maintaining strong relationships with client executives, brokers, reinsurers, regulators, service providers and key stakeholders across Aon's global network. Providing guidance on commercial reinsurance, risk financing structures, renewals, regulatory requirements and business strategy. Leading and developing client service teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes and service excellence. Driving business development activities, identifying and converting new opportunities through both Aon and external market relationships. Representing Aon Cayman within the market through industry events, conferences and professional networks. Contributing to financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and achievement of overall business objectives. Supporting regulatory compliance activities, including engagement with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). Leading board meeting preparation and delivery, presenting complex business and financial matters to senior stakeholders and directors. Coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues to build a high-performing and engaged team. Beyond managing key client relationships, you will play a meaningful role in business growth, market development and leadership decision-making as a member of the Aon Cayman executive leadership team. Skills and experience that will lead to success Professional accounting or insurance qualification such as ACII, CPCU, CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent. Extensive experience within the insurance or reinsurance industry, including extensive captive management experience. Strong knowledge of commercial reinsurance, alternative risk structures and Cayman regulatory requirements, ideally including experience working with Cayman-domiciled entities. Proven business development experience with a track record of originating, developing and converting new opportunities. Strong leadership, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and operate effectively in a client-focused and commercial environment.
