Insurance Manager – Captive & Insurance Management (Malta) Are you seeking the next step to grow your career within the Captive insurance industry? Then read on! Aon Insurance Managers (ACIM) are seeking an experienced Insurance Manager to join their team in Malta. Responsible for the general insurance needs of captive undertakings, protected cell companies’ cells, and (re)insurance companies under management. Procedure setting, compliance with general regulation and assisting the Senior Manager - Insurance in the supervision of the insurance team and management of clients. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Malta office Aon is in the business of better decisions! What the day will look like Responsible for the delivery of a high-quality service, ensuring that all client service standards are met for the client base. Review various insurance documentation including cover notes, insurance policies, reinsurance agreements/slips and endorsements. Discussing and liaising with the Compliance &/or Finance Manager with respect to any renewals, invoicing, and claims. Review of reconciliation of claims payments, premiums, insurance premium taxes, and reinsurance recoveries. Liaison with auditors giving necessary explanations of insurance structures or policies. Developing and maintaining knowledge of captive and PCC matters Attendance at Board meetings & Committee meetings (where applicable), including the presentation of insurance reports. Following internal procedures, in particular in relation to check lists, supporting information, authorisations, signoffs and time scales and ensure that the respective team members follow all relevant procedures manuals. Awareness and compliance with relevant legislation as well as regulations and rules issued by the MFSA from time to time. Monitor and ensure compliance with the General Good Provisions for each territory where a passport is in place. Work on applications for new clients or new lines of business of existing clients. Assisting the Senior Insurance Manager to supervise the team, for their day-to-day administration duties, including assisting with aspects of identifying and fulfilling their training and development needs. Assisting the Senior Insurance Manager in the day to day HR management of the team including appraisals. Skills and experience that will lead to success Insurance qualification recognised by the CII or equivalent – highly desirable Strong background gained within (Re)insurance, and or Captive insurance industry Good general knowledge of industry products, regulations, and developments.
