The Role
Oxford is seeking a full-time Analyst to join its Sydney office, which forms part of Oxford’s Europe and APAC region. The Analyst will have responsibilities across both investments and asset management, including evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting the ongoing management and value creation of existing assets.
The role will provide broad exposure across asset classes and the opportunity to work closely with senior team members, operating partners, external advisors, and Oxford’s internal teams across Singapore, London and Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite real estate investment opportunities across asset classes, including modelling real estate cash flows, financing and tax assumptions, IRRs and sensitivities, as well as research to support key underwriting assumptions.
- Conduct market and property-level due diligence, including coordinating site tours and broker meetings, reviewing property financials, rent rolls and third-party reports, and preparing sales and leasing comparables
- Prepare presentations for Oxford’s investment committee and investment partners for the review/approval of new transaction opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Support senior team members on transaction execution, both internally (approval memos, coordination with internal teams) and externally (liaising with advisors, lenders and JV partners)
- Assist with strategic planning, including research into new markets and asset classes
- Support the management of existing portfolio assets, including analysing new lease proposals (rents, incentives and lease terms), reviewing business plans, budgets and reforecasts, and monitoring and reporting on asset performance against plans and objectives
- Participate in the valuation of Oxford's existing investments, including coordinating external valuations and reviewing assumptions against market evidence
- Support redevelopment projects, capital works and refinancing initiatives, including reviewing costs, timelines and debt terms, and liaising with operating partners, lenders and internal teams
- Assist in fund and partnership matters, including equity tracking, reporting and governance requirements, working with Oxford’s finance, legal and tax teams
About You
- Experience in commercial real estate, investment banking or a related finance field an asset
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills, with close attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with external advisors and peers
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and self-starter who is diligent, takes initiative, and brings a professional and positive attitude
- A strong desire and interest for a career in real estate
