What You'll Do We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Product Manager to join our Engineering Experience and Enablement team (EXE). EXE is dedicated to accelerating efficient software delivery at Principal by providing technology teams with a delightful experience in which to build. This product role is central to shaping and advancing our evolving product family as we expand to support an AI-native product delivery life cycle. The work includes enabling Product delivery teams and AI agents to invoke trusted, Principal-specific expertise inside the tools where work happens. It also means defining the experience, contribution model, quality bar, publishing path, and feedback signals that make our expertise discoverable, reliable, and valuable across the enterprise product delivery life cycle. You’ll have the opportunity to: Drive Discovery & Insights: Use experimentation, analytics, and user research to uncover opportunities and prioritize high-value initiatives. Own Product Strategy: Collaborate with technical and delivery leads to develop and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Measure & Optimize: Track product performance, make data-driven decisions, and continuously evolve the product to meet enterprise needs. Engage & Influence: Partner with leaders across technology spaces as stakeholders, advocates, and users of EXE products to advance the EXE vision. Mentor & Shape Culture: Support and mentor other product managers, sharing best practices to foster a strong, high-performing product culture. Demonstrated experience managing 1 or multiple products. Demonstrated experience with strategic thinking, collaboration, and decision making in a product environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple workloads and/or competing priorities. Demonstrated experience with stakeholders and relationship management in a product environment. Demonstrated experience leading, influencing, and negotiating in a product environment. Demonstrated experience leveraging diverse perspectives and use of customer, user, or partner data and insights to inform decisions and actions. 2+ years working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with engineering teams and stakeholders. Additional Preferred experience: Comfortable getting up to speed on technical topics (with time and support to upskill) Experience supporting an AI-native product delivery life cycle. Familiarity with GitHub, Cloud Solutions, and the Software Development Life Cycle Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $110200 - $156000 / year Salary Details Des Moines, IA: $110,200 - $148,200 / year Charlotte, NC: $116,000 - $156,000 / year Raleigh, NC: $$116,000 - $156,000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
